Acceptable use policy (AUP)

This policy defines permitted and prohibited conduct when using Leaxio. Violations may result in suspension or service termination.

1. Purpose and scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) supplements Leaxio Terms of Service and EULA. Its purpose is to protect customers, the platform, and the broader community by establishing clear rules for appropriate service use.

This policy applies to all Leaxio users regardless of subscription plan and covers all platform usage, including API usage and integrations.

2. Permitted use

Leaxio is designed to:

  • Manage equipment, product, or service rental businesses
  • Administer inventory, customers, and rental transactions
  • Generate reports and business analytics
  • Process legitimate rental-related payments
  • Manage multiple branches or organizations (by plan)
  • Support internal team collaboration through roles and permissions

Use must align with lawful and ethical business activity and comply with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

3. Prohibited activities

It is strictly prohibited to use Leaxio for:

3.1 Illegal activities

  • Any activity violating local, state, national, or international law
  • Money laundering or financing illegal activities
  • Sale or rental of illegal goods/services (drugs, unlicensed weapons, etc.)
  • Tax evasion or financial fraud
  • Infringement of third-party intellectual property rights
  • Child sexual abuse material or child exploitation activities
  • Human trafficking or modern slavery-related activities

3.2 Service abuse

  • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to other users accounts
  • Use of stolen credentials or unauthorized shared credentials
  • Interference with service availability or performance
  • Intentional server overload (DDoS attacks, flooding)
  • Bypassing plan limits through fraudulent techniques
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade limits or sanctions
  • Mass automated usage (bots, scrapers) without prior authorization

3.3 Security compromise

  • Unauthorized hacking, penetration attempts, or security testing
  • Distribution of malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Reverse engineering, decompilation, or disassembly of software
  • Exploiting vulnerabilities without responsible disclosure
  • Phishing or impersonation of Leaxio or its users
  • SQL injection, XSS, or other security attacks

3.4 Fraud and deception

  • Providing false or misleading registration information
  • Using stolen credit cards or fraudulent payment methods
  • Disputing legitimate charges (fraudulent chargebacks)
  • Creating fake transactions to inflate metrics or reports
  • Manipulating data to evade audits or taxes

3.5 Inappropriate conduct

  • Harassment, intimidation, or threats toward users or Leaxio staff
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disability
  • Hate content, incitement to violence, or terrorism-related content
  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, or unwanted mass communications
  • Using the service to defame, slander, or damage third-party reputation

3.6 Unauthorized commercial use

  • Reselling or sublicensing Leaxio access without a written agreement
  • Using Leaxio to build competing products
  • Extracting data to build contact lists or commercial databases
  • Using the service as backend for third-party applications without authorization
  • Offering white-label Leaxio services without an enterprise agreement

3.7 Privacy violations

  • Collecting personal data without appropriate consent
  • Sharing customer data with third parties without authorization
  • Violating data protection laws (GDPR, LFPDPPP, etc.)
  • Accessing data from other users without authorization
  • Using platform data for non-consensual marketing

4. Content responsibility

Users are solely responsible for content they enter, store, or transmit through Leaxio, including:

  • Customer, product, and transaction information
  • Uploaded images, descriptions, and documents
  • Communications sent through the platform
  • Pricing settings, policies, and terms shown to their customers

Users must ensure content:

  • Does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights
  • Complies with applicable advertising and commerce laws
  • Is accurate and not misleading to customers
  • Respects data subject privacy and consent

5. Technical usage limits

To preserve service quality and availability, reasonable technical limits apply:

5.1 Rate limiting

  • API: Requests per minute limits based on plan
  • Bulk operations: Limits on batch uploads/imports
  • Authentication: Login attempt limits to prevent brute-force attacks

5.2 Storage limits

  • Data storage capacity according to subscribed plan
  • Maximum file sizes for uploads (images, documents)
  • Record count limits (products, customers, transactions) by plan

5.3 Fair use

Usage must be reasonable and aligned with the subscribed plan. Leaxio may contact users whose usage appears excessive or anomalous to confirm compliance with this policy.

6. Vulnerability reporting

Leaxio welcomes responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities. If you discover a vulnerability:

  • Report immediately to soporte@leaxio.com with technical details
  • Do not exploit beyond what is necessary to demonstrate it
  • Do not access, modify, or delete data from other users
  • Allow a reasonable remediation period (typically 90 days) before public disclosure
  • Do not request compensation without prior agreement (if no bug bounty program exists)

Leaxio will not pursue legal action against security researchers acting in good faith and following these guidelines.

7. Monitoring and enforcement

Leaxio reserves the right to:

  • Monitor platform usage to detect violations of this policy
  • Use automated systems to identify abuse patterns
  • Investigate user reports about inappropriate conduct
  • Access user content when required to investigate policy violations
  • Cooperate with authorities in lawful investigations

Monitoring is performed while respecting user privacy and in line with the Privacy Policy.

8. Consequences of violations

Violations of this policy may result in one or more of the following actions:

8.1 Warnings

Minor violations or first-time offenses may result in a written warning requiring immediate correction.

8.2 Temporary suspension

Moderate violations or repeated offenses may lead to temporary access suspension (typically 7-30 days) while investigation or remediation is performed.

8.3 Service termination

Severe violations or illegal activities will result in immediate and permanent account termination, without refund, and may be reported to authorities when applicable.

8.4 Legal action

Leaxio reserves the right to pursue legal action for violations causing harm to the platform, users, or third parties.

8.5 Data export period

In case of termination for violation:

  • Minor/moderate violations: 14 days to export data
  • Severe or illegal violations: Data access may be denied, subject to court order
  • Read-only access may be provided to facilitate export

9. Reporting violations

If you observe conduct violating this policy, report it to:

  • Abuse email: soporte@leaxio.com
  • Subject: “AUP violation report”
  • Include details: involved account, violation type, supporting evidence if available

All reports are investigated confidentially. Additional information may be requested for investigation.

10. Appeals

If your account is suspended or terminated for an alleged policy violation, you may appeal:

  • Send an email to soporte@leaxio.com within 14 days of the action
  • Explain why you believe the action was incorrect
  • Provide supporting evidence when available
  • Leaxio will review and respond within 14 business days

Leaxio appeal decisions are final, subject to legal remedies available in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to this policy

Leaxio may modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Changes are communicated by:

  • Updating the “Last updated” date in this document
  • Email to active users (for significant changes)
  • In-platform notice (for major changes)

Continued service use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
