Refunds and cancellations policy

This policy describes subscription cancellation terms, refund eligibility, and account closure management in Leaxio.

1. Trial period

Leaxio offers a free plan (Basic) so customers can evaluate core service features with no payment commitment. No payment information is required to use the Basic plan.

Some paid plans may offer promotional trials. During a trial period, you may cancel at any time without charge. If you do not cancel before trial ends, billing starts automatically according to your selected plan.

2. Billing cycles and charges

Leaxio subscription plans are billed:

  • Monthly: Charged each month on the same subscription start date
  • Yearly: Charged once per year with any applicable annual discount

All charges are billed in advance at the start of each billing period. Charges may appear on your statement as “LEAXIO” or “STRIPE*LEAXIO”.

3. Refund policy

3.1 14-day satisfaction guarantee

If you are not satisfied with Leaxio during the first 14 days after your first paid subscription charge, you may request a full refund. To request a refund:

  • Email soporte@leaxio.com with subject “Refund request”
  • Include the email address associated with your account
  • Optionally share the reason for dissatisfaction (to improve service)

Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method. This guarantee applies only to the first charge and not to subsequent renewals.

3.2 Prorated refunds

After the 14-day guarantee period, subscription payments are non-refundable. However, in exceptional circumstances and at Leaxio discretion, prorated refunds may be considered:

  • Severe unresolved technical issues significantly impacting service use
  • Extended service interruptions exceeding SLA guarantees
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges

3.3 No refunds apply in:

  • Automatic subscription renewals (you can cancel before renewal)
  • Change of mind after the 14-day guarantee period
  • Lack of service usage by customer choice
  • Suspension due to Terms of Service violations
  • Annual subscriptions after the guarantee period

4. Subscription cancellation

4.1 How to cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Going to Settings → Subscription → Cancel plan from your account
  • Sending an email to soporte@leaxio.com requesting cancellation

4.2 Effects of cancellation

When you cancel your subscription:

  • Access to paid-plan features continues until the end of the paid billing period
  • No additional charges are made after cancellation
  • At period end, your account is automatically downgraded to the Basic plan
  • Data exceeding Basic limits is retained but inaccessible until you upgrade again
  • No refund is issued for unused time in the current billing period

4.3 Subscription reactivation

You may reactivate your subscription at any time by selecting a new plan from your account. Charges apply immediately according to the selected plan.

5. Plan changes

5.1 Upgrade

When upgrading to a higher plan:

  • Change is effective immediately
  • A prorated charge applies for the price difference for remaining current period time
  • The billing cycle date stays the same

5.2 Downgrade

When switching to a lower plan:

  • Change takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You keep access to your current plan until paid period ends
  • No refund is issued for the price difference
  • Check that your current data fits new plan limits before downgrading

6. Account closure

6.1 Voluntary closure

You may request permanent account closure by emailing soporte@leaxio.com. Before closing your account:

  • Cancel any active subscription
  • Export all data you want to keep
  • Acknowledge account closure is irreversible

6.2 Data retention after closure

After account closure:

  • Your data is retained for 30 days in case you want to reactivate the account
  • You may request immediate deletion by sending an explicit email requesting “data deletion”
  • After 30 days, or after explicit deletion request, all data is permanently deleted
  • Certain data may be retained for legal, tax, or accounting obligations under applicable law

6.3 Closure due to non-compliance

Leaxio reserves the right to close accounts that violate Terms of Service, EULA, or acceptable use policies. In such cases:

  • Advance notice is attempted when possible
  • No refunds are issued for remaining service time
  • A limited data export period is provided (typically 7 days)

7. Payment failure and suspension

If a renewal payment fails:

  • You receive an email notification requesting payment method update
  • Up to 3 payment attempts are made during 7 days
  • If all attempts fail, the subscription is automatically canceled and the account downgrades to Basic
  • Access continues as Basic with the corresponding limitations

No fees are charged for failed payments. You can reactivate your subscription by updating payment method.

8. Disputes and chargebacks

If you do not recognize a charge or have a billing issue:

  • Contact Leaxio first at soporte@leaxio.com before disputing the charge with your bank
  • We will provide detailed transaction documentation
  • We will resolve legitimate billing errors with refund or service credit

Unreported chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension while investigation is ongoing. If a chargeback is found unjustified, the account remains suspended until payment is resolved.

9. Pricing changes

Leaxio reserves the right to modify subscription plan pricing. In case of price changes:

  • Existing customers are notified by email at least 30 days in advance
  • New prices apply at the next renewal after notice
  • You may cancel before renewal if you do not accept new prices
  • Annual subscriptions pay the new price upon next yearly renewal

10. SLA service credits

Service credits granted due to SLA breaches are applied as defined in the Service Level Agreement. Credits:

  • Are applied as a discount on the next invoice
  • Are not redeemable for cash
  • Expire if you cancel subscription before using them
  • Cannot be combined with other promotional discounts

11. Special cases and exceptions

In exceptional circumstances (natural disasters, documented emergencies, major billing system failures), Leaxio may consider refunds or credits outside this policy at its sole discretion.

All special requests must be submitted in writing to soporte@leaxio.com with supporting documentation.

12. Changes to this policy

Leaxio may modify this Refund Policy with at least 30 days notice. Changes apply to future transactions and do not affect active or recent refund requests governed by the policy in effect at transaction time.
